Chapter Fifteen

Willow

You haven’t seen anything yet. The moment those words left his mouth, I thought for sure it meant we weren’t done. I was wrong. After the best orgasm of my life -which seems to be Alec’s MO- he gave me a few minutes to calm down and gain control of my body again. Then he drove us back to the house, where I assumed we’d be going to his room. Instead, he just gave me a sweet kiss on the lips and told me he had work to do. It’s the second time he’s pleased me, and I didn’t even get a chance to really touch him.

Kissing him is better than any kiss I’ve had in my life and only makes me desperate for more. I wanted to feel him inside of me, to experience that with him again. But in a whole new way. It’s been two days and I’ve hardly seen him, though. Sure, he’s managed to sneak a couple little kisses here and there, but nothing like what we shared the other night.

I know Anya still hasn’t been able to get Calvin’s will, and that’s really bothering him. Tanner and Wyatt have started looking at other ways to get it, and other possibilities of what could be going on. But I know they’re still really frustrated. I feel completely useless, because I have nothing that can help them get this resolved.

Alec came into my room early this morning and told me that he would be gone most of the day and that I should spend time with Anya and Lillie. Anya and I both noticed the way he would suggest we invite her to do anything we did, not that we mind. We probably would no matter what. We both genuinely like Lillie, and enjoy spending time with her. Things were a little awkward the first couple of times, but as she’s started to open up more, it’s been a lot of fun spending time with her. Which is why the three of us are sitting by the water, enjoying the fresh air and some wine and snacks.

“That’s so crazy.” Anya looks completely dazed from the story Lillie just told us. We didn’t want to pry, but Anya was curious how the entire situation with her husband ended once and for all. I have a feeling there was a lot she left out; but apparently he found them and he was about to kill Cole when Lillie ended up shooting him. Alec faked her death the same way he did Wyatt’s. And now she and Cole are married. Sort of. It’s a crazy story that I don’t think I would have ever believed if we didn’t already know part of it to begin with.

“It was crazy. But I’m just thankful I’m here now, and that Cole is okay.”

“I can’t imagine.” My gaze involuntarily moves to the foaming water and I watch as it climbs up the shore line and retreats back into its own vastness. I can’t help but think about everything that happened when Calvin was killed.
